The Austrian sports betting company Bwin expected from a gross operating result (EBITDA) of EUR65 million in 2008, when it finally closed the account, as stated in the preliminary information about its annual results.

Bwin, a European leader in the industry, reported today that in the fourth quarter 2008 gross revenues obtained in the fourth quarter of 117.7 million euros, 15 percent more than a year ago.

The company, which sponsors major clubs like Real Madrid and AC Milan, said that gross revenues in 2008 increased 19 percent, to 420.9 million euros compared with 353.5 million in 2007.
