Party Poker is one of the few poker rooms where a wide selection of fixed-limit Hold’em tables can be found at almost any time of the day in the range of $0.05/$0.1 to $30/$60 fixed-limit. For higher limits ($50/$100 to $100/$200) you can find active tables, but the choice is less. Pot-limit games are played mostly in the low bet range ($25 pot-limit). The higher stakes game is performed from time to time at one or two tables.
Among other types of Poker, pot-limit Omaha is played very intensely at Party Poker in the range of a $25 to $600 pot-limit. Omaha is also played at higher stakes from time to time. Also, a player can always find a fixed-limit 7 Card Stud game in the range of $0.5/$1 to $5/$10. Although it is rare to find a higher limit game of 7 Card Stud.
Party Poker has so-called Jackpot tables, where players pay a bigger rake, but they have a chance to win a great Jackpot, which is given out if a strong hand of one player (”4 of a kind” constituted by four eights or higher) is beaten by a stronger hand of another player (both pocket cards of each of the 2 players should be included into their combinations). Part of the Jackpot is shared between other players at the table as well. Jackpot tables can be found in Hold’em games of $25 no-limit/pot-limit or higher, which is a relatively low barrier for the possibility of winning a big Jackpot. The big name in European online poker. The biggest poker site in Europe! Party Poker.com have all their biggest tournaments at Euro friendly times, couple that with software available in a staggering 12 languages (see the list in the bottom left of this page) it’s easy to understand why. Probably the best known online poker room worldwide, Party Poker is secure, has high traffic 24/7 and stable, feature rich software. Party Poker is THE online poker room not to be missed whether you’re a seasoned pro or a poker newbie just starting out.
The software is stable and easy to find your way around, although it doesn’t show your made hand (except at beginner levels) or show cards at an all-in showdown until the end, a shame really, because if they had this option Party Poker would be head and shoulders above the rest of the online poker sites. A great feature of the Party Poker software is the ‘table filters’ - you can choose to view only the tournaments or games you are interested in - no more entering a Limit tournament by accident! You can also play Blackjack at your poker table and another recent introduction of side bets can keep you interested while having a dry run of cards and helps you avoid making bad decisions simply because you are bored.
A great advantage of setting up your own Party Poker account is that you can use that same account for any of their other online gaming sites. There’s a choice of Backgammon, Bingo, Casino, Sportsbook and of course Poker, all of which can be accessed with the one account. They have also recently introduced Party.TV with a great range of online programs, news and tutorials which can only be accessed through your PartyGaming account. The tutorials are great and it’s worth setting up your own account for them alone, especially if you’re new to online poker games!
Tournaments. The Sit and Go’s at Party Poker have a good amount of traffic 24/7, but something that should really interest the keen Sit and Go players is the Party Poker Steps tournaments. Work your way up through 6 levels of Sit and Go’s for a grand prize of $2000 from an initial stake of just $3. This is a great way to perfect your sit and go skills whilst enjoying some great value poker at minimal cost.
Another added extra for Sit and Go fans is the Sit and Go rematch facility. At the end of each Heads-up match you are given the opportunity to play the same opponent again in a rematch, if both players agree the table restarts and off you go again.
Now for the busy poker player there are Hellkat timebased Sit n Go tournaments, choose the length of tourney you want to play from 5mins to 30 mins with low buy ins from $3 to $11 and start playing! After the final hand, and the tournament will not stop mid hand, the top three will share the prize pool in proportion to chips held.
With over $50,000 a month in country freerolls, the freerolls program at Party Poker is bigger and better than ever. You’ll find exclusive $250 freerolls for players from specific regions running all week. With tourneys in Limit and No Limit Texas Holdem offered to UK, Canadian, German, Nordic, Oceanic, Alpine, Russian, Dutch & the Americas (not USA) players, Party is truely becoming the European players best choice for a poker room.

Cash Games. As you would expect from such a large site, there are plenty of Texas Holdem tables to choose from at Party Poker, with both the Bad Beat Jackpot and normal tables always receiving high traffic. Unfortunately the other game variations, such as Stud and Omaha can be disappointing, with quite low traffic even in peak hours.
Promotions. One of Party Poker biggest draws is the Bad Beat Jackpot. Get beaten with quads 8’s or higher and you’ll receive a share of their unrivalled Bad Beat Jackpot. I’ve seen this get as high as $664,000 which is phenomenally high considering you are eligible for the jackpot with blind levels as low as 10c/25c and everyone active at the table receives a share of the jackpot as long as they were dealt in. Just pick a jackpot table when selecting your game and you’re in with a chance.
Party Poker are the kings of promotions and are introducing new promotions all the time. They also regularly offer reload bonuses which can be tracked easily through your PartyGaming account. Party have just annouced a brand new loyalty scheme from PartyGaming where you earn points with every game you play and you can cash redeem your points for cash at anytime. There are four different Party Points levels (Jack, Queen, King and Ace), the more points you earn the higher the level you reach, you will earn Party Points at a much faster rate as you advance through the levels.
Competition. Varies although overall Party Poker has some very soft competition. However, it can be difficult to choose your game wisely as the cash lobby doesn’t display the ‘player per flop percentage’.

Party Poker released the download version for Mac users on September 23rd 2006. This is by far the best way to play party poker on your Mac. No more emulating a PC or having to run Party Poker off of your web browser, this Party version installs right into your application folder. It has similar features to the PC version, except they haven’t implemented tournaments yet. Tournaments should be available very soon.
Party Poker ‘Anywhere’ version
Mac users can play real money games on their web browser with the Part Poker Anywhere version. It’s currently in beta and lacking some features including some table options, a tournament and sit&go lobby, and real money play. You can follow the sotware updates and send party poker feedback to improve Anywhere on the Party Poker Anywhere page.
Party Poker sign up bonus code
Using the sign up bonus code MERIDIAN when signing up will get you a 30% up to $150 bonus. To clear a deposit bonus you have to play 5 times the amount of the bonus in raked hands. So for the full $150, you’ll have to be dealt in 750 raked hands. This bonus can be cleared in less than 5 hours by multi-tabling.
Traffic
Traffic has decreased since PartyPoker stopped allowing US players. They’re still one of the largest online poker rooms, but they aren’t #1 anwymore.
Competition
players up to $2/$4 on Party Poker are easily beatable playing solid poker. From 3/6 up you start to see a lot of multi-tabling online pro’s. These guys won’t tilt often, but there are still plenty of fish to feed off of.
Support
Party Poker support is average. They have both phone and email support, which is a plus, but it’s pretty obvious that they’re not poker players handling your issues. Usually a phone call is either hit or miss, so it may take a few calls to support to get your issue solved.
