Titan Poker  - Titan Poker is a relatively new site and part of the iPoker conglomerate.  They have an excellent antifraud team of service reps who are serious when it comes to dealing with colluders and fraud.  Titan Poker is a skin of Noble Poker,  which has been around over the past year.  I’ve played extensively on both sites, and several of my friends play on sites that are owned by the iPoker Network and they have never had any problems with fraud.

Titan Poker is one of the youngest poker rooms in the industry, having only come onto the scene in the second half of 2005.

Titan Poker Game Types:

Titan Poker offers a variety of cash games if you like Holdem, Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo;  but there's no Seven-card Stud.  For Texas Holdem,  Titan Poker offers fun/play money tables in addition to Limit,  No Limit,  Pot-Limit,  Turbo,  and Heads Up.

Titan Poker offers micro limits in Texas Holdem for as little as $0.02 and $0.04 tables.  They also offer short-handed and full tables.  The highest limits are $10/$20 followed by $5/$10,  $3/$6,  $2/$4,  $1/$2,  $0.50/$1,  $0.25/$0.50,  $0.10/$0.20,  and $0.05/$0.10.  These tables are available for Limit,  No Limit, and Pot-Limit Holdem.

Titan Poker doesn’t have too many high stakes tables.  Again,  this is part of the reason not too many sharks play on Titan.  It seems the rooms are geared for beginner and low limit players.

Perhaps Titan Poker’s specialty is the Sit-and-Go tournament. There are plenty from which to choose from with buy-ins starting at $1 and moving up to $100. Most are No-Limit hold’em, but some Omaha games can be found, as well. Titan Poker has also garnered interest from players through its unique “Jackpot” Sit-and-Go promotions, where players can win anywhere from $2,000 to $100,000 (depending on the buy-ins) for winning several tournaments in a row. Bonuses are also offered for a string of top two finishes. Most of the Sit-and-Go action is at these special “Jackpot” tables. Multi-table tournaments are offered around the clock, as well, and generally stay at the $20 buy-in level or below.

Titan Poker Software and Features:

The Titan software is nice and clean, with a pleasant blue, magenta, and silver color scheme. The lobby is laid out well, with tabs to select the game type and sub-tabs to select limit, no-limit, turbo, heads-up, and tournaments. Percent of players to the flop and average pot size are shown, as well, to facilitate good table selection. Multi-tabling is allowed, as well.

Titan Poker allows players to choose from a pre-set selection of avatars, or characters, to represent themselves at the table. If you choose, you can also turn on player and dealer voices, so that all actions are announced. Each avatar has its own voice, as well. This can be fun for a while, but the voices do tend to get annoying. Player, dealer, and game sounds can all be turned off individually, so you can fully customize the audio if you want all, some, or no sound. Avatars can also be turned off. Another nice table feature is the option for the software to display your hand strength, helpful for those times where you have a difficult-to-read straight. Alas, the popular four-color deck is not offered.

Buddy lists and note-taking are available but they are not implemented as well as at other poker rooms. You cannot manually enter buddies – you must mark them as buddies when they are seated at a table. Also, the note-taking capability is limited, as Titan only allows for very, very brief notes on your opponents.

During game play, statistics and real-time hand histories are available. Unfortunately, these disappear when you leave a table. If you want hand histories later, you can get them by e-mailing customer support.

Behind the Scenes at Titan Poker:

Titan Poker’s customer service is among the best in the industry. The poker room offers live, 24-hour online chat, directly in the Titan Poker software. There is also e-mail and 24-hour toll-free phone support available. Account information, including bonus and point information and cashier functions, is easily accessible from the software. Deposits and cashouts are fast and easy.

Titan uses 128-bit SSL technology, true random number generators, and both human and computerized anti-collusion tools to make its poker room safe for its players. Titan Poker encourages players to be vigilant in combating possible cheaters and promises to respond seriously to all concerns.

Deposit options:

Titan Poker’s software takes only a few minutes to download with a variety of deposit options:  Click2Pay,  FirePay,  Central Coin,  EcoCard,  Money Bookers,  Neteller,  MasterCard,  Visa,  InstaDebt and My Citadel.  Funding your account via Neteller is very quick.  It was almost instant when I deposited and I was able to play within 15 minutes from the time I started downloading the software.  The minimum deposit is $50.  Currently Titan Poker offers a generous 100% deposit match bonus up to $500.  So if you deposit $500,  you are eligible for an additional $500 in bonuses.  You have to play a required number of raked hands in order to qualify in either cash games or in tournaments.

Player Traffic:

Titan Poker is an excellent site if you are new to poker and want to play low limit poker. You will find tones of players playing $0.02/$0.04 all the way up to $1/$2. Site numbers at Titan Poker for higher limit games are reasonably good as well. This site is growing quickly and is beginning to make inroads into the market. The rake at this site is also pretty good.

Playability:

The lobby on this site has a very simple design and is easy to navigate. By clicking on the well set out menu tabs you can easily navigate to your favorite type of poker game. The Titan Poker client also lets you interface with the casino as well, where you can play a variety of casino games if you so desire.

The action buttons (fold/bet/call/raise) are neatly arranged when it is your turn to act, making an easy task to pick your choice quickly. There is an option to chat live with an assistant should you need it. This is always a helpful feature, particularly when you are new to a site.

Software and Extra Features:

Titan Poker's software was developed by Playtech. Playtech have a long history in the offline market, and have used their experience to develop a first class online poker software platform which as all the trimmings. Once you download Titan Poker, you will see a very clean looking site with neat graphics and a simple user interface. The software runs smoothly with few hiccups. This site looks and feels professional.

The software that Titan Poker utilizes was created by Playtech, one of the leaders in the industry.  Playtech deployed a powerful collusion prevention mechanism.  Basically what that means is that it analyzes and scrutinizes every move from every player on Titan Poker.  Upon the detection of the slightest irregularity,  a detection alert gets sent to their expert staff who investigate the matter further.  This is how Titan Poker and iPoker ensure their clients that they are playing in a secure environment.

The Players

The players on Titan Poker are pretty bad. That’s what happens with new sites. The sharks are on the bigger and more established sites, so you can make a killing playing on Titan Poker and other smaller sites. But beware, with less-skilled players, that means the bad beats are frequents and more furious.

The only drawback is that the pool of players is small so you might have to wait for awhile to play your favorite table limit. You have to factor in that a lot of Titan’s players are European, so your peak time in the North America happens late in the afternoon. But if you log in around midnight, you can possibly catch a few tired Europeans on the tail end of their session.

This all adds to the fun and excitement of gambling in online casinos. The colorful, web sites, the marquees of online casino sites, are reminiscent on the Las Vegas Strip, adding to the exhilaration of the online gambling experience. Online casino bonuses are a great way to ease into unfamiliar games of chance. A chance to win the casino bonus, while learning a new game, is a benefit few can fail to appreciate.
The casinos want you to have fun and enjoy the games and they really do hope you win. Winning is good for business. Winners return and they tell their friends, which brings in new players. Casinos make large payoffs everyday. They even go so far as to advertise that fact and run pictures of winners on their websites. Online casino bonuses are an invitation into a new form of entertainment that can provide hours of enjoyment. Can you imagine any other business that gives you free money to participate in their activities?
