Fair Poker was established in year 2004 in Antigua. A part of another
network, the iPoker, Fair Poker shares certain features and even player
traffic with the other networks under PlayTech. In terms of software
graphics, Fair Poker makes the cut with their design and playability. Among
the other poker sites in the Internet, Fair Poker has features like dual
viewing, options for full screen, buddy listings, player notes, real-time
play history functions, and the much anticipated iPoints. For players
looking for specific people to compete against, Fair Poker has a tool for
player search for easy location of other gamers. A unique feature of this
site is that Fair Poker allows a gamer to play in 3 different tables at the
same time.
In terms of play content, Fair Poker gives focus to Texas Hold'em, cash
games, and Sit And Go contests. Players enjoy this site, as it provides
maximum opportunity to win, especially if the player is good. Overall, Fair
Poker can hold game interest with its great features and options. However,
in terms of its game variety and content, Fair Poker falls fairly from
expectations, and could prove to be a bit tiring in the long run. Unlike
some poker rooms, Fair Poker offers live customer support in real-time chat,
standard email, as well as toll-free telephone support. This was reassuring
to see before I downloaded the software. I was just hoping I would never
have to use it. As is the case with most online poker websites, Fair Poker
has a poker lobby that will let players perform a variety of tasks like
joining tables, changing playing features and depositing funds. My first
inclination was to deposit funds, and so I visited the online cashier. There
are many good reasons to play at Fair Poker. First of all, the action at mid
to higher stakes levels is pretty juicy. This is largely due to the hordes
of casino gamblers that frequent the poker rooms run by numerous Playtech
operators. They have deep pockets, and like to gamble. If you are patient,
there is really good money to be made. I play at mid-level stakes - up to
$100 Sit&Go`s and up to $50 multi table tournaments and I have been doing
very well here lately. I have also found that I am able to move up a level
or two in the ring games, because there are more inexperienced players
around than at other rooms.
For beginners, Fair Poker offers an excellent place to play. There are some
tournaments especially for new players, and it seems like a pretty level
playing field at the lower stakes levels.
Online Gambling Insider have negotiated a special first deposit bonus. The
normal bonus is 50% up to $200 free, but you will automatically receive 100%
up to $300 free if you visit Fair Poker via any of the links on our site.
Fair Poker has some really good tournaments coming up, like The Million
Mania Tournament. There are other regular promotions like if you win six Sit
& Go Tournaments in a row you can win a $25,000 jackpot. Fair Poker came in
for a lot of stick initially when it launched because of slow service, but I
must say it seems like they have got their act together. This is a poker
room that is getting better all the time, as it has the necessary backing.
This was when I first saw a link for Live Chat, which out of pure curiosity
to see how efficient it would be, I clicked. A blank chat screen immediately
popped up with a space for my question. As I looked up to think of a
question (because I did not even have one) a customer rep. by the name of
Jane very warmly asked if there was anything she could do to help. Let me
first say that although I am prone to being won over more by a friendly girl
named Jane than a friendly guy name Joe, I was by no means letting myself be
blinded by the power of indirect female persuasion. I ended up asking her a
dumb question like "Do you accept personal checks? (not her...the cashier),
and she went on to explain how I can do a direct wire transfer through my
personal checking account. Her knowledge and tact was very impressive. And
when she gave me a little smiley emoticon at the end of our session, I
thought I was in love. However, I think some of this love was for Fair
Poker's online cashier...it's one of the best I have seen.
ONLINE CASHIER
Very organized to say the least. All of the payment methods are neatly
organized at the top of the screen in easy-to-see buttons. Just click on
one, and all the information on how to deposit funds is there before you. If
you do not already have online funds, just pick a deposit method, and you
can find out all about it. I chose to set something up with NETELLER. They
have a great reputation and are free to use except when making credit card
payments, which is still pretty cheap. Anyhow, the online cashier had a
direct link that said "Open a Neteller Account", which I clicked, and then
was automatically redirected to the Neteller site. My personal information
that I used to sign up with Fair Poker was already filled in on the Neteller
page, which for me was very impressive. Truthfully, it is the little things
like that which make a difference in who I think is the best online poker
room around.
SOFTWARE
When it comes down to Fair Poker's software, you are getting the best. I had
heard that you could view the playing table in different angles, which
sounded cool to me - but I found this feature nowhere. Instead, I settled
for the traditional birds-eye-view, which is probably more conducive to
seeing all the action at the table anyway. As for the download, there are
helpful directions on the website to those who are completely unfamiliar
with downloading. This is a nice feature for beginners who are not sure
about things like their computers hard drive space and what version of
Windows they have. After looking over the specs, I started the download,
which was surprisingly fast. Considering there is a few more features in
Fair Poker's software than some other online poker rooms, I thought it might
take longer. At one point I got confused, because the registration process
asked a little more personal information than I am used to giving, such as
your home address and occupation. I went ahead and filled it out anyway
since there was a disclaimer on the site that said your personal information
would only be used for internal purposes and that it would not be given to
third parties. When I submitted everything, a message came up saying I had
successfully created a real money account (I later learned there is one
registration process for both a play money and real money account, and that
all one needs to do to play with real money is pay a visit to that very nice
online cashier). This kind of confused me though, because after registering,
I was thrown into the lobby right away. The "Fun Play" tab is indiscreet,
which made me think I was trapped in some sort of real-money lobby. Soon
enough I saw it and began testing the waters.

Sitting down at a table, I’m struck by Fair Poker’s impressive visuals; the
graphics are beautiful! The look of this site is very attractive, and they
back up an impressive gameplay. Everything is quick to go and easy, but
perhaps the most impressive part of the game play is the Hand History
option- you can bring up the history of a hand after it’s done, and it even
shows you the hole cards of your opponents who went to showdown! This
feature is simply awesome, and it caps a very solid game play. Selectable
avatars, quick action, and your choice of two points of view make for the
nicest graphics I’ve ever seen on a Poker website.
Fair Poker backs up its gameplay with a solid line-up of tournaments; the
scheduled ones are pretty much standard fare, but they also offer regular
free rolls without any player requirements, which is nice for recreational
players. The only weakness here is that Fair does not offer WSOP or WPT
satellites.
The promotion section at Fair Poker isn’t too bad either; their deposit
bonus structure is very generous, and they even offer a 50% account refund
if you lose all of your initial deposit within a specified period! They also
offer a Bad Beat bonus, which pays out if you lose on a big hand.
As you can see, I’m pretty impressed with the site Fair Poker has put
together. My only real complaints are the lack of Satellite tournaments, and
the somewhat small player population. The rest of this site is awesome, and
if they could work on those two weaknesses, this site would be my new home
for online poker.
My first session of gambling was in the late evening. I was taken back a
little at such a little number of players on the site. However, I decided to
do some fun play, which had some pretty good action going on. The next day I
tried playing around lunchtime, and the action was twice as much. The
micro-tables were most definitely the hardest to get into. All in all, there
was definitely more than enough tables to choose from, despite a large
number of empty ones.read more :
